‍So, Gary and Paul won Olympic Silver in Rio in 2016 and then Paul, with new partner Fintan McCarthy went o to win double Olympic Gold in Tokyo 2020 and Paris in 2024. Not a small achievement by a rowing club in Skib bereen, West Cork. I was so impressed with that success and found it such an inspiration that I wanted to mark it by trying to come up with a song. . . . and, at last, here it is. It has take me a good bit of time and gone through several versions on the way. It was only when I found the wonderful voice of Mr Colin Stough on Fiverr.com that it really began to take shape. I wanted a full-on southern rocker and I think we got there in the end. I hope you like it.
