Roger Hubbard

What happened to Roger Hubbard . . .

The 1971 release of "Brighton Belle Blues" under Blue Goose Records was released to huge critical acclaim and fuses traditional blues with bluegrass sensibilities. With tracks that echo the struggles and stories of everyday life, Hubbard's expressive slide playing complements the heartfelt lyrics, creating a rich tapestry of sound. The album captures the essence of the early '70s music scene, characterized by its raw emotion and authenticity. In 2003, Hubbard released "Danger Deep Mud" through Deep Mud Records. Four years later, in 2007, "Out of My Hands" emerged as another significant milestone in Hubbard's career and finally, in 2016, "If I Had A Dollar" was released, continuing Hubbard's journey of musical innovation. This album stands out for its contemporaryinfluences while still honoring the traditional sounds that define his work. It's a touching story and if you'd like to see it, check out the documentary film 'Home Loving Man' made about Roger here.
